Our Story

Nigeria is regarded as the biggest economy in Africa with Gross Domestic Product in excess of $400 Billion Dollars. Thus, leading the entire 54 African economies both in Population of over 180 million people and GDP. This in essence spurred the need to rightly document the brands, corporations and individuals responsible for the success story of Nigeria’s 59 years post-independence.

Signature Ranking Limited was therefore established to profile the True Nigerian story using global media platforms to promote the brands and Nigerians doing business in Nigeria and by extension sell the Nigerian agenda to the rest of the World.  This is who we are!

Damola Aderemi (Chairman)

Mr. Aderemi is a multi-jurisdictional barrister practicing both in the United Kingdom and with a thriving practice in Nigeria. Since his call to the Bar, Mr. Aderemi has developed a deserving reputation within commercial Law (including cases such as NOGA and some other reputed cases) and serious Crime. His diverse range of skills has earned him high regards in global migration and Human Rights Law, and he is regularly consulted on Matrimony Law within Nigeria and the United Kingdom. His experience has led to providing expert advice to the Attorney General of Nigeria within family and divorce cases and has been consulted in the past by Bar Council as authority on such cases.

Charles O’Tudor (Member Advisory Board)

In 2001, O’Tudor founded ADSTRAT BMC, of which he has been Principal Consultant till date. Adstrat has handled accounts of brands spanning the construction, aviation, fashion, telecommunications, banking, furniture, entertainment, education, hospitality and pharmaceutical industries. The firm, with two affiliates (Axle and Stratis) has crafted phrases and words like, Cerebral Filtration Processes, Processed thought to Finish, O2ygenation, Re-O2ygenation and O2yculturation as the terminologies employed in its day-to-day branding activities. O’Tudor is the brain behind BrandsArise, “a social emancipation initiative anchored on the philosophy that when individuals rise, their communities will rise and ultimately the nation will rise”. The programme is targeted at creating an awareness of youths becoming strong, formidable, and positive brands that extol values such as integrity, honour, enterprise, and patriotism. Charles O’Tudor is a public speaker, commentator and role model.

Abimbola Ogundokun (Member Advisory Board)

Abimbola has over 20 years financial industry experience spanning Insurance, Training, Planning, Banking (Merchant and Commercial) and consulting at Senior to Strategic Management level. He has gained extensive exposure in the areas of strategic management, financial control (management), relationship management, risk management, human resources management, market development, and change management through job application supported by various qualitative educational programs. Prior to becoming the Managing Director of GDL, he worked in the Insurance sector as a general manager E-business & productions with Standard Alliance Insurance Group. He was previously the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) with National Bank of Nigeria Plc (now Wema Bank Plc and also worked at Fidelity Union Merchant Bank (now Fidelity Bank Plc) in the Human Resource department. Abimbola has attended many developmental training courses.

Uduot Tom (Member Advisory Board)

Uduot has business strategy, products development, and risk management experience spanning financial services (insurance, investment banking, private equity, actuarial services) and construction services. He has also provided strategy inputs into public-private partnerships for governments at state and federal levels and has attended several trainings both locally and internationally. Uduot sees himself as a business, innovations and solutions architect. While at the UBA Group, he was seconded to the Federal Government’s implementation Committee on National Identity, Outsourcing and Consumer Credit as a private sector representative in the Public Private Partnership that birthed the National Identity Management Commission. Uduot is a firm believer in the Nigeria project and has served on several project committees and think tanks for state governments. He is a fun seeker, music and sports lover, and adventurer. He loves the challenge of strategy, product development, and solutions architecture.

Samson Davies (Managing Director)

Mr. Davies has about 15 years of broad range work experience covering both consultancy and financial services. He has occupied various positions in the Heirs Alliance Group, now Nexzon Business Services, Heirs/UBA Insurance, now UBA Metropolitan Life. He joined the then Standard Trust Bank group and upon the merger of the old STB group and United Bank for Africa to form UBA Plc he became the Group Executive Officer Administration of the UBA Insurance group. After leaving the group, he founded Forbes Integrated Company Limited and was instrumental to the acquisition of several Insurance companies and recapitalization of Health Insurance companies in Nigeria. He was later to become the Managing Director of Investcorp Medicare Limited in 2014 and a member of the Nigeria National Health Insurance Scheme delegation to the Netherlands to understudy the Dutch Health Insurance Sector in October 2014. Mr. Davies was the Director of Marketing NICON Insurance Plc, Executive Director Nicon Luxury Abuja, Alternate Director MoneyBox Africa and presently serves as director, Business Conferences Limited, Synergy Tourism and Trips Limited, Arewa Health Maintenance Services Limited, True Nigerian Experience Limited, Signature Television Limited, Signature Business Magazine Limited, Signature Financial Advisory Limited and Legendary Events Limited. Mr. Davies also attended the 2018 Class of the Strategic Marketing Management course of the prestigious Harvard Business School Boston Massachusetts United States of America.
